Covid-19: India records 6,660 fresh cases, 29 more deaths

New Delhi: India recorded 6,660 more cases of Covid -19 during the past 24 hours, as per the latest update by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare n Tuesday.

With the addition of these new cases, the active caseload stood at 63,380

which is 0.14 per cent of the total cases as per the Health Ministry.

The death toll has risen to 531, 369 with 15 new deaths reported during the past 24 hours in various parts of the country.

As many as 9,213 patients recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours. The total number of people who have recuperated from the disease is 4.43 crore (4,43,11,078)

The Covid-19 recovery rate stood at 98.67 per cent whereas the fatality rate was recorded at 1.18 per cent.

Meanwhile, the daily positivity rate was recorded at 3.52 per cent while the weekly positivity rate was pegged at 5.42 per cent.

The Ministry said 4,943 vaccine doses of Covid were administered during the last 24 hours under the nationwide vaccination drive.

Around 220.66 cr Total Vaccine doses (95.21 cr Second Dose and 22.87 cr Precaution Dose) have been administered so far under Nationwide Vaccination Drive said the Ministry.

Meanwhile, 92.48 cr Total Tests conducted so far; 2,30,419 tests conducted in the last 24 hours, as per Ministry data.

Meanwhile in Delhi on Monday 689 fresh Covid-19 cases were reported which is 38 percent decrease as compared to the previous day’s tally.

Three deaths were registered while the daily positivity rate stood at 29.4 per cent.
