Prez accepts Stalin’s invite, to visit TN on Jun 5

Chennai: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin today met President Draupati Murmu and invited her inaugurate the Multi -Super Speciality Hospital at Guindy, Chennai, and participate in the Centenary Celebrations of former Chief Minister on June 5.

An official release here said Mr Stalin met Ms Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi and extended the invitation to inaugurate the hospital.

“Earlier, on the occasion of the 97th birth anniversary of Muthamizh Arignar Kalaignar (former Chief Minister M.Karunanidi) in June 3, 2021, Mr Stalin had announced “a Multi-Super Specialty hospital will be set up at the premises of King Institute of Preventive Medicine and Research at Guindy”.

The Construction of the new 1,000 beded hospital was commenced in the King Institute of Preventive Medicine and Research Complex, Guindy at a cost of Rs.230 crores, in an area of about 51,429 sqms with ground floor and six upper floors.

Now, with the completion of the construction of this state-of-the-art hospital and the commencement of the celebration of Muthamizh Arignar Kalaignar, Mr Stalin had invited the President to participate in the above events.

The President has given her consent to inaugurate the hospital in Guindy, Chennai and to participate in the Centenary Celebration to be held at YMCA Ground, Nandanam on June 5, the release said.
