Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has decided to inaugurate ‘Brahmin Parishad’ building, constructed by the state government, at Gopanapalli in the heart of Hyderabad, on May 31.
KCR, who held a high-level review meeting with the officials at Dr BR Ambedkar Telangana Secretariat here on Saturday night, expressed hope that the ‘Brahman Welfare Parishad ..Sadan’, built in a spacious place will continue to be a spiritual center and spread peace and devotion to the future generations and a community center will be accessible to all communities.
The Chief Minister said that the building of the Brahmin Parishad should continue as an information center and a resource center to spread devotional and spiritual ideologies.
He ordered the officials to set up a library with literature such as spiritual scriptures, Vedas, Upanishads and Puranas in the Brahmin Parishad Bhavan.
Rao praised the Priests and Religious Scholars for being accessible to all communities and striving for a peaceful society through their preaches and blessings.
Telangana suffered a lot in the erstwhile United Andhra Pradesh and Today, the new state is prospering with peaceful environment with the blessings of God, he said.
KCR said the BRS government has taken up the construction of temples in a way that has not been built anywhere else in the country and added that the temples will become spiritual centers across the state and promote peace.
The government which is working for the welfare of all communities is also striving for the welfare of the poor Brahmin communities, he said the government is committed to the welfare of priests and poor Brahmins.
With the support provided by the government, Children of poor Brahmins, who depends on the profession of priest, are getting good education.
No other state in the country is implementing welfare programmes like Telangana for the poor Brahmin community”, the Chief Minister added.
On the occasion of the inauguration of the building, KCR suggested Brahmin Parishad Chairman Dr KV Ramana Chary to perform Chandi Yagam and Sudarshan Yagam.
Rao said priests from all the states, famous shrines, Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam and other places including Dwadasha Jyotirlingas, prominent Hindu religious leaders, Brahmin community leaders from all states and Brahmin public representatives will be invited for the inauguration ceremony.
The officials are directed to take care of all the arrangements for their travel and stay, he said and ordered Finance Secretary Ramakrishna Rao to release necessary funds for the programme.
KCR instructed Ramana Chary to hold a meeting again about how many people should be invited for the inauguration of Brahmin Parishad building and the related arrangements.
