PM Modi interacts with German Chancellor, UN Secretary General, Indonesian President at G7

New Delhi/Hiroshima: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday interacted with several world leaders on the sidelines of the G7, including German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, Indonesian President Jokowi Widodo.

PM Modi and the German Chancellor shared a quiet chat by themselves on the sidelines of the venue at the Grand Prince Hotel Hiroshima, in Hiroshima Prefecture.

The PM said in a tweet:

“Glad to have met my friend, @Bundeskanzler @OlafScholz on the sidelines of the G-7 Summit in Hiroshima.”

The MEA spokesperson said in a tweet that the two leaders reviewed the progress in bilateral relations and also exchanged views on regional and global developments.

“PM @narendramodi met @Bundeskanzler Olaf Scholz of Germany at the Hiroshima @G7 Summit.

“The leaders reviewed and positively assessed the progress in bilateral relations. Exchanged views on regional developments and global challenges.

“PM welcomed Germany’s support for the India-EU trade and investment agreements, and for India’s G20 Presidency.”

The PM in a tweet said he had a wonderful conversation with the UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres.

“Wonderful conversation with @UN Secretary General @antonioguterres in Hiroshima.”

On his meeting with the Indonesian President, he tweeted:

“Met President @jokowi and Mrs. Widodo. India attaches great priority to strong ties with Indonesia.”
