LG Sinha, PDP’s Mehbooba grieved over the death of four members of nomadic family in Kishtwar

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday expressed grief over the loss of lives due to the unfortunate incident in Kishtwar district.

Four members of a family, including a couple, were killed when a tree fell on them due to inclement weather at Bhalna forest area of Keshwan belt in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday morning.

“Deeply anguished by the loss of lives in a tragic incident in Kishtwar. My thoughts are with those who lost their loved ones,” the Lt Governor said.

The Lt Governor has directed the Deputy Commissioner to provide all assistance to the next of kin of the deceased.

People’s Democratic Party (PDP) President and former Chief minister Mehbooba Mufti also expressed grief and sorrow over the unfortunate incident.

She asked the administration for sanction of immediate compensation to all the family members for rehabilitation.
