GSLV-F12 with 2nd Gen navigation satellite NVS-01 lifts off from SHAR Range

Sriharikota (AP): India’s heavy rocket GSLV-F-12 carrying first of the second Generation Navigation Satellite 2,232 kg NVS-01 lifts off from the SHAR Range here at 1042 hrs on Monday.

After a smooth 27.5 hour countdown, 51.73 m tall launch vehicle, with a lift off mass of 420 tonnes, took off majestically from the Second Launch Pad with a rumble that shook the earth.
