It has been announced by the leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), that a ‘Maha rally’ will be organized at 10 AM, on Sunday, June 11th, at New Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan, by the party to protest against the ‘dictatorship’ of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Union Government. As per AAP, people from every corner of Delhi will be a part of the Maha rally to showcase their opposition.

Amenities like medical facilities and drinking water are also being arranged so that the people who take part in the event do not face any kind of problem. The rally will see the presence of Delhi Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal, Punjab Chief Minister, Bhagwant Mann, and all the AAP ministers, MPs, MLAs, councillors, and the people of Delhi. As per AAP, the whole of Delhi, unitedly, from the Ramlila Maidan, will protest against the PM’s dictatorship and the ‘black ordinance’ which has been forcefully imposed on the people of Delhi.

The AAP has also said that this is an ‘Emergency’ situation wherein the verdict of the judiciary has been toppled, and the central government is doing whatever it feels like doing.

This move from the AAP after the central government brought an ordinance designating the Lieutenant Governor (L-G) as the administrator of Delhi who will have the final say on the postings and transfers of all bureaucrats serving the Delhi government. The ordinance seeks to amend the NCT of Delhi Act, 1991, and negates the Supreme Court judgement passed on May 11, which said that the AAP government of Delhi has the power to make laws and gave the control over bureaucrats to the government.
