PM Modi inaugurates projects worth over 24,300 crores in Bikaner

On Saturday, July 8, Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stones of and dedicated development projects worth more than Rs 24,300 crore, in the Bikaner district of Rajasthan. Prime Minister Modi pressed a remote button to inaugurate the projects at an event held in Bikaner’s Norangdesar.

He dedicated to people, a six-lane greenfield expressway section of the Amritsar-Jamnagar Economic Corridor; a Bikaner to Bhiwadi transmission line; the first phase of the inter-state transmission line for green energy corridor; and a 30-bed Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) Hospital. The cornerstone for the redevelopment of the Bikaner railway station, and the doubling of the 43-KM-long Churu-Ratangarh section, was also laid by the Prime Minister.

The event also witnessed the presence of the Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, and Arjun Ram Meghwal, Union Minister of State for Law and Parliament Affairs, who is also the Member of Parliament (MP) from Bikaner.

It is noteworthy that the Rajasthan State Assembly elections are scheduled to take place in December, 2023.
