Deeply pained to learn about loss of lives in TN train fire accident: Murmu

New Delhi: President Droupadi Murmu on Saturday said that she is deeply pained to learn about the tragic loss of lives in a fire accident in a stationary train near Madurai Junction in Tamil Nadu.

Taking to X, the President said,’ I express my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and pray for the speedy recovery of the injured ‘.

Nine passengers, mostly from Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh, died and six others sustained burns after a fire broke out in a private party coach following a LPG cylinder blast on Saturday.
