Amidst reports of former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Kamal Nath resigning from the Congress, sources close to the Congress leader have revealed that Kamal Nath has still not quit the party, but he is certainly unhappy with whatever is happening in the Congress and feels that it is not the same political organisation he had joined more than 50 years earlier.

While the Congress has rubbished the claims stating that Kamal Nath is all set to join the BJP, it has been reported that he has not met with Union Home Minister Amit Shah or Prime Minister Narendra Modi, after arriving in the national capital on Saturday. Reportedly, he has only heard leaders like BJP Madhya Pradesh President, VD Sharma, saying that he is welcome in the BJP.

It is also being told that the senior Congress leader has said that joining the BJP is under his consideration, because the people of Chhindwara, the constituency he represented as an MP for 9 years, want him to join the party for an impetus to development. Now, it is Kamal Nath’s son, Nakul Nath, who is the MP from Chhindwara, and talks of him joining the BJP along with his father are doing the rounds.

The speculations of both Kamal Nath and Nakul Nath quitting Congress and joining the BJP were fanned on Saturday, after Nakul Nath removed ‘Congress’ from his social media bio. However, sources revealed that Kamal Nath has said that his son never had the party’s name in his bio in the first place. And after the father-son duo arrived in New Delhi, the rumours gained further ground.

Madhya Pradesh Congress President, Jitu Patwari, said, ‘Could you think, even in a dream, that Indira Gandhi’s “third son” will quit the Congress? Could he think of leaving the workers who fought the assembly elections under his leadership, and worked tirelessly to try and make him the chief minister?’
