Clashes between TMC and BJP supporters happened at Dinhata, where Udayan Guha and Nitish Pramanik were present. Cooch Behar SDPO Dilip Mitra and two TMC supporters sustained wounds.
The clashes erupted after a poll campaign rally, which was addressed by Paramanik, was over, and a rally led by Udayan Guha came face-to-face at Dinhata. Guha had gone to attend a party leader on his birthday and had stepped out on the road with his followers.
The state police had to use batons to disperse the warring rival supporters.
