Addressing a letter to the people of his constituency, Patparganj in East Delhi, jailed AAP leader and former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister, Manish Sisodia, compared his ‘plight’ to the atrocities committed by the British against freedom fighters. In this letter which has surfaced a day before his bail hearing, scheduled on April 6, he said that Mahatma Gandhi and Nelson Mandela, who had spent years in jail were his inspiration.

‘Will meet you soon outside’, he mentioned in his letter, adding, ‘The British rulers also had the arrogance of power, and they sent people to jail in false cases.’

Sisodia, in his letter, can clearly be seen comparing the BJP government at the centre with the British government, and equating himself with the freedom fighters, incarcerated wrongfully.

The former Delhi Education Minister added, ‘The struggle for good education and schools in underway like people who fought for the freedom of the country.’

‘Education revolution zindabad. Love you all’, Sisodia said in his letter to the people of his constituency.
