Atlanta: Ashwin Ramaswami, a Gen-Z Indian-American Democratic Party candidate, received Senator Jon Ossoff’s endorsement for the Georgia State Senate seat in District 48. Ramaswami is up against incumbent Republican Senator Shawn Still, who was indicted alongside former US President Donald Trump.

‘Senator Ossoff’s endorsement of Ramaswami’s campaign against incumbent State Senator Shawn Still, a Republican indicted for attempting to overturn Georgia 2020 election results, is a significant boost to his campaign against former President Donald Trump,’ India-West News Desk reported.

Senator Ossoff stated that Ashwin Ramaswami would be a dedicated advocate for democracy and his constituents in the Georgia State Senate.

Ashwin, a former election security expert, is running against a MAGA politician accused of attempting to overturn the 2020 election. “Democracy is on the ballot in Senate District 48, and Ashwin’s support is evident,” social media users have rallied.

On his official X handle (@ashwinforga), the Indian American candidate on Monday said: “Big news today! Senator @Ossoff just endorsed our campaign. He knows this is the most competitive State Senate seat in Georgia this year – and it’s all hands on deck.”
