Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy emphasised the need for a well-designed airport to transform Warangal into a mega city.

Chairing a review meeting on land acquisition and related plans for Warangal’s Mamunur Airport at the ICCC on Thursday night, the Chief Minister highlighted the importance of prioritising the airport’s development to attract international investments, an official statement said.

Revanth Reddy noted that several countries, including South Korea, consider airport infrastructure as a key factor in their investment decisions. He stressed that Warangal airport should be equipped to attract investments in industries such as textiles, IT, and pharmaceuticals, envisioning Warangal as a city on par with Hyderabad.

The Chief Minister advised officials to take inspiration from Kochi Airport, known for its comprehensive facilities. He directed that the upcoming Warangal Outer Ring Road and radial roads be connected to the airport for seamless access.
