United Nations: The United Nations on Tuesday dismissed Israel’s claim that Gaza has a sufficient amount of food, stocked during the now-ended ceasefire.

COGAT, the Israeli military agency in charged of aid deliveries to Gaza, said earlier in the day that “there is enough food for a long period of time, if Hamas lets the civilians have it.”

“Ridiculous. We are at the tail end of our supplies,” UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric told reporters, when asked about the UN’s reaction.

Dujarric added the bakeries have not been closed “for fun,” as the core items are missing.

On April 1, the World Food Programme announced that it had run out of flour in its warehouses, and its bakeries can no longer operate unless Israel reopens the crossings and allows supplies in.
