AAP fields MP Sanjeev Arora for Ludhiana West Assembly bypoll

Chandigarh (Punjab): The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Wednesday named Rajya Sabha member Sanjeev Arora as its candidate for the Ludhiana West Assembly bypoll.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Wednesday, announced to field Rajya

Sabha MP Sanjiv Arora from Ludhiana West assembly constituency, where bye-elections are

to be conducted soon.

The bye-elections are necessitated by the demise of MLA Gurpreet Gogi on January 10.

After the party’s announcement, speculations were rife that AAP National Convenor and former

Chief Minister of New Delhi Arvind Kejriwal would be sent to Rajya Sabha in place of Arora, who

is, reportedly, promised to be given a birth in Bhagwant Singh Mann government, after winning

the bye-elections.
