Bengaluru: Aero India 2025, one of the largest aerospace and defence exhibitions, is gearing up to deliver an upgraded experience for visitors, exhibitors, and delegates at Air Force Station Yelahanka.

With significant improvements in infrastructure, security, and visitor services, this year’s edition promises to be smoother, bigger, and more efficient than ever before.

A major focus of the event is on enhanced infrastructure and traffic management. With a history of traffic congestion during previous editions, this year, the Ministry of Defence, Indian Air Force (IAF), Bengaluru, Traffic Police, and several state agencies have collaborated to widen approach roads and optimise traffic flow.

Real-time monitoring and dynamic route adjustments will ensure smooth access to the venue. Free AC Volvo shuttle buses will operate from key city locations to Yelahanka, while aerial surveys have been conducted to reduce choke points, resulting in better traffic management around the venue.

Security and emergency preparedness have also been prioritised, with a multi-layered security framework in place. Countermeasures against unauthorised drone activity, strategic deployment of Rapid Mobile Units, and mock drills involving various agencies are part of the comprehensive security strategy. These measures will ensure quick emergency response and operational readiness throughout the event.

The exhibitor and visitor experience has been upgraded in several ways. The exhibition halls have been expanded and ventilated for better comfort, while more seating areas, food courts, and rest zones have been added. Indira Canteens will be available in parking areas to offer affordable food options. To enhance convenience, lost and found counters, ATM kiosks, medical aid posts, and even a dedicated cardiac aid post have been set up.

Airspace management has been carefully planned to facilitate smooth aircraft demonstrations. Temporary flight restrictions will be implemented to ensure safety, and a dedicated airspace management plan has been developed in collaboration with AAI and HAL. Aircraft parking and refueling protocols have also been streamlined for domestic and international participants.

Sustainability is a key focus, with measures such as reduced vehicle movement, the use of more than 100 E Karts, and comprehensive waste management systems in place to reduce environmental impact.

With a focus on innovation, Aero India 2025 will also highlight B2B and G2B interactions, supporting startups and MSMEs in showcasing their technological advancements.

In all, Aero India 2025 promises to set new standards in organization, security, and visitor experience, ensuring a successful and memorable event.
