Kolkata: AITC general secretary Abhishek Banerjee on Thursday said the BJP is afraid and the NDA is scared, a day after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) grilled him for nearly 9 hours at the CGO Complex in the city.

Diamond Harbour MP on Wednesday night told media persons the ED’s summon happened at a day when he was to attend the anti-BJP opposition leaders -I.N.D. I.A’s first coordination’s meeting at NCP leader Sharad Pawar’s house in New Delhi.

” BJP is afraid and the NDA is scared,” Banerjee tweeted hinting the rise of the anti-BJP bloc for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

” Behold the spectacle of the faltering titan as tremors of fear shake their foundation!” the 33-year-old TMC leader, who happened to be the nephew of chief minister Mamata Banerjee.

” This is the power of INDIA,” Banerjee said.

He claimed the nine hours question of the central probe agency was a neat result minus 2.

Banerjee, who was also questioned by another central probe agency in the alleged teachers recruitment scam for over nine hours some months ago, said it was also a net result zero.

” The more the probe agencies would question him the outcome would be minus 4,” Banerjee said after coming out of the CGO Complex at 9 pm on Wednesday. He reached
the CGO office around 11 30 am.

He also questioned the credibility of the central probe agencies and opined that they are tools of the politicians in power at the Centre.

He also questioned why the CBI is not taking action against those who are allegedly found taking money in the Narada sting operation in 2014.

He advocated that everyone accused in the sting operation should be arrested starting from BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari to even the TMC leaders.

Answering a question that Adhikari was quoted as saying the ED question to the TMC GS would not happen because the probe agency has to submit its action taken report to Calcutta High court on Thursday( today”. On this Banerjee suggested that Adhikari
should not be disheartened as the BJP leader would be arrested first when I.N.D. I.A
would come to power in 2024.

” The oppressive forces don’t faze us !. Undeterred , we will continue to serve the people ,” Banerjee concluded.
