Coach of Jammu Tawi Express derails, major incident averted

Bulandshahr (UP): One coach of Jamshedpur-bound Jammu Tawi Express derailed near Wair railway station in Bulandshahr district here in Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday, railway sources said.

Railway sources said that no loss of life or any other damage has been reported in the incident. Railway officer, District Magistrate Chandra Prakash Singh and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shlok Kumar have reached the spot.

Railway sources said that as the train reached near Wair railway station a general class coach derailed. The eyewitnesses said that a major incident was averted due to alertness of the driver.

After inspecting the spot DM Chandra Prakash said that only one coach of Jammu Tawi got derailed. “There is no report of loss of life or injuries. Railway officers and employees have reached the spot and efforts are being made to clear the track,” he said.
