Demolition of Babri Masjid a ‘symbol of injustice’ : Owaisi

Hyderabad: All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) Chief and Hyderabad Lok Sabha MP Asaduddin Owaisi on Tuesday said that December 6 will forever remain a ‘Black Day’ for Indian democracy.

Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, Asaduddin said ‘ the desecration and demolition of ‘Babri Masjid’ is a symbol of Injustice.’.

Those responsible for its destruction were never convicted. We will not forget it and we will ensure that future generations remember it too, he said.

Meanwhile, as the 30th anniversary of Babri Masjid demolition is observed in the city today with many educational institutions declared a holiday to mark the ‘Black Day’.

Police had made elaborate security arrangements in the sensitive areas, mainly in the old city, to prevent any trouble.

Police pickets were also posted at all hyper sensitive and sensitive areas here.

Armed policemen drawn from various units of Telangana police have been deployed.
