Deoband station to be world class

Saharanpur (UP): Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Monday announced that Deoband will be developed as a world class railway station. It has been included in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s scheme to develop 200 stations across the country as world class railway stations.

Talking to the reporters, the Minister said a Master Plan has been prepared to modernise 200 stations across the country.

Vaishnav inspected Deoband railway station, examined the site plan and issued necessary directives to the officials. He also held a meeting with the officials and reviewed the construction works of the railway station.

A discussion was also held on remodelling the Deoband railway station on the lines of the Maa Tripura Bala Sundari Devi temple. Later, he visited the temple and offered prayers. He also met Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders and workers at a guest house.
