Eight hardcore ultras including three female operatives surrender before Jharkhand Police

Ranchi: A total of eight hardcore ultras including two female operatives who were part of the maoist squads led by Central Committee Member Mishir Besra alias Sagar Ji and Patiram Majhi alias Anal Da on Wednesday surrendered before the senior officials of the Jharkhand Police and CRPF.

At a function held at the office of IG South Chottanagpur Ranchi these ultras surrendered before the police.

Among those who surrendered included Jairam Bodra alias Juriya Bodra Sarita alias Mungli Sardar alias Sarita Sardar Somvari Kumari alias Toni Martam Angariya Tungir Purty Patar Koda Kusnu Sirka alias Kartik Sirka and Sanju Purty alias Roshni Purty.

A total of 11 cases are registered across separate police stations of Chaibasa district against Jairam Bodra while six cases are registered against Sarita in separate police stations of Chaibasa and Saraikela-Kharsawan district. Moreover a case each is registered in Chaibasa and Saraikela against Somvari Kumari. Further five cases are registered in separate police stations of Chaibasa against Martam Angariya while two cases are registered against Patar Koda in Chaibasa and one against Tunir Purty alos in Chaibasa.

IG Ranchi Zone Amol V Homkar said that due to non stop action of the police against the Maoists and fed up with internal exploitation and attracted by the lucrative surrender and rehabilitation policy of the state government these eight ultras who were part of the maoist squad led by Misir Besar and Patiram Manjhi and were active in Kolhan and Podahaat regions have surrendered.
