Panjim: In an attempt to derail the tenacious reportage of the GoaChronicle.com team in exposing the hand of China behind the origin of the coronavirus pandemic and the recent stories on the India-China face-off at Galwan Valley in Ladakh, hackers have been attacking the global news portal incessantly.
On Friday, GoaChronicle site saw fierce attack on its servers. The attack originated from China, Eastern Europe and Russia. Later in the day, we started to witness attacks on our servers from Italy. Overall analysis indicates that most of the hacking attempts are originating from different regions in China.
Today, again GoaChronicle witnessed a surge in hacking attempts to take down the site. The attacks this time originated from China, USA, Italy and India.
Speaking on the recent surge in hack attempts, Savio Rodrigues, Founder & Editor-in-Chief, GoaChronicle.com stated, “It is obvious that our investigative journalism is not being appreciated by the people we have exposed in our articles. Therefore, I am led to believe that they would have hired some hackers to attack our news portal. The attacks have started more after we started to expose the close-ties of China and the World Health Organisation’s in the cover-up of the coronavirus pandemic. Also our reportage on the recent face-off of India and China in Galwan Valley could have ticked off the Chinese administration.”
“We have exposed the sexual abuse crimes of the Catholic Church in India, Islamic radicalisation in India, and much more shocking and hard truths. We will continue to do more such stories and those people trying hacking our sites can continue to do so. We will not stop doing our job as journalists.” asserted Rodrigues.
GoaChronicle.com has openly questioned President of China Xi Jinping through an open letter that went viral on social media on having his hands soiled with the blood of the innocent people dying around the world due to the coronavirus pandemic that originated in Wuhan, China.
Even the Director-General of the World Health Organisation (WHO), Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus was questioned by Savio Rodrigues at the WHO global media briefing over the decision in alerting the world about the coronavirus pandemic late.
