HP govt accelerating pace of progress in state: Jai Ram Thakur

Mandi (HP): HP Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said that the state government was accelerating the pace of development in all parts of the state for the welfare of the people. He said that development was a continuous process and in the future also, development works would be taken forward at a fast pace.

While addressing a public meeting at Dharotdhar and Bassi, the Chief Minister said that there was lack of basic facilities in the Seraj assembly constituency, in the past but with the cooperation of the people for the last 25 years, roads, education, health and other basic facilities were strengthened in the area.

Earlier, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stones of various developmental projects in Bassi and Mussarani Gram Panchayats of Seraj AC

The Chief Minister said that there was a lack of basic facilities in the Seraj assembly constituency, in the past but with the cooperation of the people for the last 25 years, roads, education, health and other basic facilities were strengthened in the area. He said that Seraj assembly constituency has got an opportunity to lead the state, which was a matter of pride for every resident of the area.

On the demand of the local Gram Panchayat, the Chief Minister announced to provide Rs 1.50 crore for the construction of Primary Health Center Bassi and Rs 50 lakh for the construction of building of Government Senior Secondary School Bassi. He also announced construction of an inspection hut of the Forest Department in Bassi and to start bus service on Mandi-Janjehli via Bassi route.

He said that as soon as the forest clearance was received, sufficient funds would also be made available for the construction of Bahwa-Khudla-Khoon-Trambli road. He also announced to provide Rs. 3 lakh for the construction of Yuvak Mandal Bhawan Bassi and Rs. 3 lakh for the construction of community hall Bhalot.

The Chief Minister also announced upgradation of Primary School Daran to Middle School and opening of Sub Health Center in newly created Gram Panchayat Gudahar. He announced to give Rs. 2 lakh each to Tikkar Dhar and Bata Ser Mahila Mandals. He also announced to provide Rs 15,000 each to Tikkar Dhar and Bata Ser Mahila Mandals for presenting colourful cultural programmes.

He directed the officers to complete the process for declaring the old building of Primary School Bassi as unsafe so that a new building could be constructed. He also announced plans to construct a community hall at Dharotdhar.

Earlier, the Chief Minister was accorded a warm welcome by the local people on his arrival at Dharotdhar and Bassi.
