Hyderabad: BRS Party Working President and former Minister K T Rama Rao (KTR) has strongly criticised Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and accused him of spreading falsehoods.

KTR stated that even Joseph Goebbels, the infamous propagandist, would be appalled by the blatant lies propagated by Revanth and his government.

In a statement on Saturday, KTR emphasised that it was the BRS that truly understood and fought for the aspirations of the Telangana people for 60 years, while the Congress party ignored these aspirations and suppressed and killed thousands of youngsters.

KTR highlighted that since Revanth assumed the post of CM, the citizens of Telangana have witnessed the collusion between Congress and BJP to undermine the state’s interests. He reiterated that under the leadership of KCR, the BRS has consistently opposed the sale of coal blocks in Telangana and has never participated in any auctions. In contrast, the Congress Party shamelessly participates in these auctions, betraying Telangana’s interests.

KTR noted that although the BJP government at the centre unilaterally auctioned Telangana’s coal blocks, no mining has commenced due to BRS’s strong opposition. The companies allocated these blocks have been unable to progress, thanks to BRS’s steadfast stance.

Furthermore, KTR pointed out that the two companies mentioned by Revanth also secured mines in Takli, Jena, and Bellora in Maharashtra when the Congress-Shiv Sena government was in power, reminding Revanth not to overlook this fact.

KTR accused the Congress and BJP governments of acting as partners in crime by compromising Telangana’s rights, properties, and resources. He asserted that the people of Telangana are aware of how Congress failed to protect the state’s riparian rights, and now, with Revanth’s cooperation with the BJP, the plan to privatise Singareni is exposed.

KTR emphasised that Telangana’s history will not forgive Revanth, his deputy Bhatti Vikramarka, and Central Minister Kishan Reddy for their roles in auctioning the state’s coal mines. He said that the people of Telangana will deliver a strong message to these national parties for their betrayal at an appropriate time.
