Maha: Situation is under control, police arrest 7 suspects in connection clashes

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: City police have launched combing operation and arrested seven suspected accused in connection of Wednesday mid night tension prevailed after two group clashes at Kiradpura locality in city, police said.

Police also registered cases against 400 to 500 persons and formed eight teams to nab the culprits.

Combing operation will continue today to arrest the accused who were involved in the clashes.

During the tension rioters set ablaze 16 vehicles including 13 of police. Also, some policemen also injured in stone pelting incident during the clashes.

Police said that situation is under control and appealed to peoples do not believe on any rumors.

Heavy police force deployed in the trouble torn areas of Kiradpura .

Meanwhile, allegation and counter allegation are seen between ruling party and opposition parties political leaders.

UBT senior leader Chandrakant Khaire accused that Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar AIMIM Imitaz Jaleel is responsible for the tension and demanded his arrest.

He also alleged that state home minister Devendra Fadnavis is mastermind behind the tension.

However, BJP leaders including State cabinet minister Atul Save and Union minister of state for finance Dr Bhagwat Karad denied Khaire’s charges and said that Mr Khaire lost his mental balance.
