Modi to lay foundation stone for Ravidas Memorial

Sagar (MP): Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Madhya Pradesh later Saturday.

It was officially learnt that the visiting dignitary will reach this district at about 1415 hrs and perform bhoomi-poojan at the Sant Ravidas Memorial site. Approximately an hour later, Mr Modi shall participate in a public programme at Dhana.

The memorial is to be constructed over an area exceeding 11 acres by incurring an expenditure of more than Rs 100 crore. It shall boast an art museum and a gallery showcasing the seer’s life, philosophy and teachings. Facilities such as a Bhakt Niwas, Bhojanalay, etc will also be available.

During the event, the Prime Minister will dedicate to the nation and lay the foundation stone for rail and road-sector projects worth more than Rs 4,000 cr. The Kota-Bina rail route – doubled by spending in excess of Rs 2,475 cr – traverses Kota and Baran districts of Rajasthan; Guna, Ashoknagar and Sagar in Madhya Pradesh. Mr Modi shall lay the foundation stone for road projects costing more than Rs 1,580 cr. These comprise four-laning of the Morikori-Vidisha-Hinotiya stretch and connecting Hinotiya with Mehluwa.
