New Delhi: In a major crackdown on the gangster-terror link case, National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday conducted searches at over 100 locations across six states as part of its on-going investigation into links of suspect gangsters-terror and smugglers case, sources said.

Sources said the raids are underway in several locations in six states including Rajasthan, NCR, Punjab, Haryana and Uttarakhand.

Earlier this year, NIA had raided multiple locations related to the suspected gangster-terror link case. The agency had carried out searches against many suspected gangsters including Lawrence Bishnoi and Neeraj Bawana.

Last year, the raids were conducted in multiple locations across the country against suspected nexus between gangsters and terrorists.
