On Sunday, December 24, Bageshwar Dham Peethadheeshwar, Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri, addressed a press conference, in order to make important announcements in relation to the forthcoming mega religious festival to be held in Bageshwar Dham, from March 1 to March 8, 2024.

Bageshwar Dham, situated in Madhya Pradesh’s Chhatarpur district, in a tiny village called Gadha, attracts millions of devotees every month, and continues to remain the talk of the town because of the followers’ immense faith and Bageshwar Balaji’s innumerable miracles.

Every year, the mega religious festival at the Dham takes place on the occasion of Mahashivratri, the nodal point of the same being the group marriage of girls from economically marginalized families, whose families are unable to afford the expenses of a grand wedding. In 2023, the Bageshwar Dham Peeth organized and bore all of the expenses of 125 such girls from weak economic backgrounds. For 2024, the target number has been increased to 151 girls.

Regarding the same, the Bageshwar Dham chief, Pandit Dhirendra Shastri, said, ‘The weddings will take place in March 2024, and this time, priority will be given to orphaned girls. This time, all the couples will receive motorcycles as a gift from the Dham.’

Apart from this, touching upon another crucial topic, he said, ‘Most of the people who get lost in the Dham are mentally challenged individuals. Their family members leave them in Balaji’s asylum, and our team finds such people.’

‘Constant efforts are being made to provide better facilities to the devotees who visit the Dham.’, added Shastri.

This is the fifth religious mega festival at Bageshwar Dham wherein young girls will be helped in getting married, apart from which, Shri Ati Vishnu Mahayagya will also be organized during the same time, which will be dedicated to the armed forces of the nation, and the families of armed personnel will also be invited for the same.

On the question of the cancer specialty hospital which is being constructed by Bageshwar Dham, Shastri stated, ‘The land will soon be finalized and the hospital will be ready by the year 2029.’

The Bageshwar Dham Peethadheeshwar also made an appeal to the authorities that Bageshwar Dham, and places of immense religious importance which are situated nearby the Mandir, like Jatashankar Dham, Bheemkund, and Khajuraho, should be connected with a religious corridor. He also requested the Hindus of the nation not to get divided into different castes, and to remain united.
