Over 50 per cent railway booking to Goa are Non-Goans: Goa CM

Panjim: It appears that the Green Zone tag of Goa during the coronavirus pandemic attracted a lot of tourist interest as over 50 per cent of the railways bookings to Goa were from Non-Goans.

This was revealed to the media by the Chief Minister of Goa, Dr Pramod Sawant to the media. He said, “Over 50 per cent of people who booked railway tickets for Goa are Non-Goans. “

He further stated that he has spoken to the Ministry of Homes Affairs and Railways Minister of India. 

Dr Sawant further asserted that hotels are not open in Goa and the Centre will study the matter and decide about their booking.
