Pakistani, Chinese FMs arrive for SCO Foreign Ministers’ Meeting

New Delhi/Panaji: Pakistan Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang arrived in Goa on Thursday afternoon to participate in the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Council of Foreign Ministers meeting.

While Bilawal Bhutto was welcomed by Joint Secretary, Pakistan-Afghanistan-Iran desk, JP Singh, the Chinese FM Qin was received by Shilpak Ambule, Joint Secretary, East Asia, MEA.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov arrived earlier in the day.

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar is expected to hold bilateral talks with his Russian and Chinese counterparts today.

The SCO Foreign Ministers’ Meeting is being held on May 4-5 in Panaji, Goa.
