Ayodhya: Prime Minister Narendra Modi consecrated the child-like form idol of Lord Ram in the ‘Garbha Griha’ of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, on Monday.

Under the leadership of Vedic Acharya Sunil Shastri, 121 eminent scholars completed the consecration ceremony amidst the chanting of mantras in Sanjeevani Yoga.

In the Abhijeet Muhurta, the consecration of the idol of Lord Ram was completed in exactly 84 seconds — from 12:29:08 PM to 12:30:32 PM.

Flowers were showered on the temple premises from the sky through the helicopters.

Before the consecration of the idol of Lord Ram, PM Modi worshipped the idol of Ram Lalla, who had been seated on the golden throne since 1949, amid the chanting of Vedic mantras.

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Chief Mohan Bhagwat, Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel, and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath were present in the sanctum sanctorum during the Consecration ceremony.

A large number of eminent personalities were present in the temple courtyard to witness this divine moment.
