PM Modi offers prayers to Lord Venkateswara in Tirumala

Tirumala: Prime Minister Narendra Modi offered prayers to Lord Venkateswara Swamy in the famous hill shrine here on Monday.

Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) authorities and priests received Modi with the traditional ‘Isti kapal’ honours on his arrival at the main temple complex and led him to the sanctum sanctorum.

The PM offered prayers to the presiding deity and spent about 10 minutes in the sanctum sanctorum..

Temple priests rendered ‘Vedasirvachanam’ to Modi.

He also prayed to the ‘Dwajasthambam inside the temple.

TTD Chairman Bhumana Karunakar Reddy, Executive Officer A V Dharma Reddy presented him ‘Laddu’ Prasadam, the New Year Diary and Calendars.

The Prime Minister later posted on ‘X’, “At the Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Tirumala, prayed for the good health, well-being and prosperity of 140 crore Indians.” He also shared glimpses from Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple.

Modi arrived here on Sunday night. Later the PM left for Hyderabad to participate in two election meetings in Telangana and a roadshow in Hyderabad this evening.
