Putin, Saudi Crown Prince discussed OPEC+ cooperation – Kremlin

Moscow: Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke by phone with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, the Kremlin said in a statement.

“A telephone conversation took place between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Crown Prince and Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud. The Russian president congratulated the leadership and people of Saudi Arabia on the holy month of Ramadan for Muslims and conveyed good wishes to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud,” the statement said.

During the conversation, current issues of Russian-Saudi cooperation within OPEC+ were discussed, it said.

“The importance of this unique format for ensuring the stability of the global oil market, maintaining a balance between demand and supply in the interest of both producers and consumers of raw materials was emphasized. The commitment of Russia and Saudi Arabia to complying with the obligations they assumed in OPEC+ was stressed,” the statement said.
