REM says will supply another 15 tonnes of aid for Gaza population

Moscow: The Russian Emergencies Ministry will deliver another 15 tonnes of humanitarian aid for the population of the Gaza Strip, an Il-76 plane has departed for Egypt, the ministry said on Telegram.

“The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations will deliver another batch of humanitarian aid for the population of Gaza… There are 15 tonnes of cargo on board the ministry’s Il-76 aircraft,” it said.

The ministry said the cargo includes food, including baby food, personal hygiene products, bed linen, blankets and sleeping bags.

The humanitarian cargo will be handed over to the Egyptian Red Crescent Society, which will redirect it to the Gaza Strip, it said.
