On Thursday, Congress MLA initiated the ‘Jan Sangharsh Yatra’ from Rajasthan’s Ajmer, and ahead of the state assembly elections to be held in December 2023, has put pressure on Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and the Congress leadership. Prior to this, Pilot had also held a day-long fast, criticizing the Congress government in the state for the alleged corruption.

Before commencing the 125-km-long Yatra, Sachin Pilot addressed a gathering and questioned the repeated cases of leaked question papers of important examinations for government job recruitments held in the state earlier, and the differential treatment of those involved. Pilot emphasized that this Yatra is aimed at fighting corruption and at protecting the interests of the youth, highlighting their importance for the state of Rajasthan, and for the nation.

In his address, the Congress MLA said, “In the past few months, question papers were leaked repeatedly, and the future of lakhs of children is going towards darkness. The concern is not about the regime in power, the opposition, or ideologies, it is about the future of the youths. When lakhs and lakhs of students feel that their faith in the system is dwindling, because of question papers getting leaked and their hopes shattering, it cannot be accepted by the people”.
