Kochi: After expelling Sister Lucy Kalappura from the Franciscan Clarist Congregation (FCC), the Synod of Syro-Malabar Church has threatened to initiate disciplinary action against  Save Our Souls.

The press release issued by the Syro-Malabar Church Media Commission, stated, “Those who are protesting against the  Vatican’s decision and trying to intervene in the internal issues of the congregation will face disciplinary action.”

Save Our Souls – is the NGO consisting of priests, nuns and laity who had come together to fight for justice for the 44-yr old Nun raped by Bishop Franco Mulakkal of the Jalandhar Archdiocese.

The synod of the Syro-Malabar Church has asked the former convener of SOS, to stop all his actions related to the forum.

It has been learned through reliable sources that all those who protested under the SOS will face disciplinary action from the Catholic Church.
