Telangana: Palamuru Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme gets environmental clearance

Hyderabad: Palamuru Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme in Telangana has rceived environmental clearance.

In a statement on Thursday night, Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR) expressed happiness over the environmental clearances granted to the Palamuru Rangareddy Lift Irrigation scheme by the EAC.

The clearance has been given at a time when the first stage work of the project has reached its final chapter and is ready for the next phase.

KCR said it’s a delightful moment that the clearances will help to speed up the second phase of the project which is slated to irrigate 12.30 lakh acres in Rangareddy and old Mahabubnagar districts.

Apart from the construction of projects, Telangana once again proved it is unmatched in obtaining permissions. It is the testament of the government ‘s commitment, the CM said.

He congratulated the Engineering officials of the Irrigation department who worked hard to get the environmental approvals for Palamuru lift scheme.
