Imphal: Five people, including three militants, were nabbed in separate incidents during the last 24 hours in trouble-torn Manipur.
The state police said on Tuesday that security forces arrested two persons who were allegedly involved in a mob attack on the RSS office in Haraorou in Imphal East district in November 2024.
Security forces also arrested a cadre of Kangleipak Communist Party-People’s War Group KCP (PWG) from Khongjom along NH-102 in Thoubal district, police said.
In another incident security forces arrested two active members of KCP (PWG) from a rented house located at Mantripukhri Mercylane, Imphal East District .
Security forces conducted search operations and area domination at G. Khomunuam village in Churachandpur district and recovered arms. Three hand grenades (locally assembled), two IEDs, tear smoke shells, and anti-riot cartridges were also recovered.
