Agartala: Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Tuesday sought votes for BJP-TIPRA Motha-IPFT nominee for East Tripura parliamentary constituency Kriti Singh Debbarma.
Addressing an impressive roadshow in Khowai, flanked by Kirti Singh, the candidate, Social Welfare Minister Tinku Roy, and BJP State Secretary Devid Debbarma Dr Saha said people would fulfill the dream of Prime Minister Narendra Modi of making Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat by electing BJP and its alliance candidates in the election across the country including Tripura.
Highlighting the success of the Modi-led government in ten years, the Chief Minister underscored the development of infrastructure in the Northeast and last-mile connectivity to the farthest habitation of the region, and said, “Modi has redefined the paradigm of development in India. Today even minimum wage earners have a bank account, which helps them get a loan for start-ups and business, which was not a dream during the Congress regime.”
Dr Saha said the Prime Minister has successfully implemented the Digital India Mission to eliminate corruption and bring transparency to the system. Today, the smallest businessmen in the villages have been accepting UPI payments and the business of counterfeit notes mainly in the bordering states has gone down to almost zero, as cashless life came into practice, Dr Saha underlined.
He, however, stated that Tripura has as many as six National Highways with all modern facilities, the most modern Airport with a capacity to handle international fleets, high-speed internet, at least five universities, seamless connectivity of both flights and trains to all important destinations of India, connectivity with South Asian countries and export business with Europe and Middle East countries in 10 years.
“Modiji’s return for the third term is important for us to sustain the pace of development,” Dr Saha mentioned underlining that the Prime Minister has set a target of 370 seats for BJP alone and 400 for NDA. INDI Alliance has been shaking to see the public support across the country in favour of Modi.
