Tuljapur pilgrimage development plan of Rs 1,174 cr presented before Deputy CM

Osmanabad: Considering the increasing number of devotees coming to visit Ma Tulja Bhavanidevi temple at holy town of Tuljapur in the district, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has suggested proper planning in the proposed Tuljapur Pilgrimage Development Plan to make the visit easy and fast along with the development of infrastructure facilities in the temple and city area.

He was speaking in a meeting which was held at temple hall on Friday when a proposed plan of the first phase of Tuljapur pilgrimage development of Rs 1,174 crore was presented before him.

Earlier, Fadanvis visited the temple along with dignitaries.

MLAs Pravin Darekar, Rana Jagjitsinh Patil, Abhimanyu Pawar, Collector of Osmanabad Dr. Sachin Ombase among others were present.

Conservation, qualitative increase in service facilities, development of temple premises and city infrastructure, development and expansion of existing facilities keeping in mind the increasing number of devotees, crowd management are mainly considered in the proposed plan, said Fadnavis.

Along with the renovation and repair works of the temple premises and some parts of the premises, the works like parking system, auditorium, CCTV, citizen address room, air-conditioned halls through which the darshan queue will proceed and the arrangement to allow the devotees to enter the temple in a phased manner are proposed in the plan.

The park will be constructed in the Ramdara area near Tuljapur city and there is a plan to erect a grand statue of Kulswamini Tuljabhawani giving the Bhawani Talwar to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

The plan also proposes to erect stone arches on every major road in the city, added Fadnavis.
