Two NBFC cases of Tripura handed over to CBI

Agartala: After a long persuasion, CBI took up the investigation of three cheating cases relating to two Non-Banking Financial Companies (NBFC) in the Khowai district of Tripura.

The CBI teams arrived in Khowai and appealed before a local court for handing over the three cases – one against Kama India Private Limited and two cases against Support India NBFCs.

A case was filed against Kama India Private Limited after the officials of the company fled without paying the investors. Two investors in the Khowai Chebri area, Amrit Debnath and Jitendra Debnath had lodged two separate complaints against Support India in 2012 and 2019 after they didn’t get anything after maturity of their policies.

As the court continued the cases but there was no settlement, CBI came to Khowai on the request of the state government and made an appeal to a local court for handing over the cases to them.
