New Delhi: Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan is representing India at the 73rd World Health Assembly organised by the World Health Organisation (WHO) on May 18 and 19. The coronavirus pandemic will be the focus for the Assembly, which will be attended by all 194 WHO member nations.

A global coalition of 124-nations including India backs Australia and European Union call for an independent inquiry into the coronavirus in a draft resolution to put to the World Health Assembly (WHA) on May 19, 2020.

The organisation has called on the member states to put in place an action plan, both immediate and long term, to deal with the ramifications of the coronavirus pandemic.
