Union MoS Sarkar requested for more ICDS funds from Gangtok DC

Gangtok: Union Minister of State for Education Dr Subhas Sarkar, during his three-day visit to State, from 13th to 15th May 2023, has assured to provide further support based on the request from Sikkim, for funds, on Saturday meet which culminated late evening.

He has asked the State Government to send proposals for the particular schemes. He had been requested for increasing the funds under the Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS) by the District Collector Gangtok, Tushar Nikhare.

He has requested the Minister, for additional funds for Power Grid and National Highway & Infrastructure Development NHIDCL projects, the Central schemes.

Dr Sarkar will be meeting Governor Lakshman P Acharya today and will have a day-long programme at Pakyong looking into development. He will be flying back to Delhi on 15th as per the tentative schedule.

Minister was thanked by Sikkim Education Minister, for his visit and one-to-one interaction with the beneficiaries of Central schemes.
