Washington: At least four people have been recovered from the site of the plane and helicopter crash near Washington’s Reagan National Airport, the NBC News broadcaster reported on Thursday.
The recovered people have been rushed to hospitals, the broadcaster said, adding that the plane had some 60 passengers onboard.
Earlier in the day, a military helicopter and a regional flight plane collided in the airport’s vicinity over the Potomac River. The Metropolitan Police Department of the District of Columbia has launched a multi-agency search and rescue operation.
