Vikram Misri takes over as India’s Foreign Secretary

New Delhi: Vikram Misri, former Deputy National Security Advisor, took over as India’s Foreign Secretary on Monday. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar congratulated him and wished him a productive and successful tenure.

The EAM posted on X:

“Congratulate Foreign Secretary @VikramMisri as he assumes his new responsibility today.
“Wish him a productive and successful tenure.”

The MEA spokesperson posted on X:

“Shri Vikram Misri assumed charge as Foreign Secretary today.
“#TeamMEA extends a warm welcome to Foreign Secretary Misri and wishes him a successful tenure ahead.”
Sunday was Vinay Mohan Kwatra’s last day as Foreign Secretary.
