On Saturday, June 18, the state of Madhya Pradesh won the 4th National Water Awards, 2022, in the ‘Best State’ category. And sharing a video message, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister, Shivraj Singh Chauhan, said, “All of my dear brothers and sisters who are the residents of Madhya Pradesh, the ‘Best State’ National Water Award has been bagged by Madhya Pradesh, and I congratulate you all for the same”.

“Madhya Pradesh stands at the first position in the country for the preservation of water, its enrichment, and management. And this was not possible without your support. We have not only expanded the facility of irrigation; we have also ensured the right use of every drop of water through the right management. The development of new water structures, redevelopment of old water structures, Amrit Sarovar, water management in cities, ‘Catch the Rain’, better management of rainwater, all of these activities have been immensely important”, the MP CM further expressed.

Chauhan added that there is a tomorrow only if there is water, and that water is life itself. He said, “We have not only saved water, we have also saved life, and our inspiration is Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Let us all take a pledge that in the future as well, we will leave no stone unturned, for the preservation, enrichment, and management of water”.
