Hyderabad: All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) President and Lok Sabha MP Asaduddin Owaisi on Tuesday questioned on why Jamia Masjid in Srinagar was shut on every Friday when Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha inaugurated Multipurpose cinema Halls in South Kasmir’s twin districts of Shopian and Pulwama on Sunday.

He appealed to the LG not to shut the Jamia Masjid during the afternoon Matinee show.

Taking to Twitter, Owaisi said ‘Sir @manojsinha_ you have opened Cinema Halls in Shopian & Pulwama but why is Srinagar Jamia Masjid shut on every Friday at least don’t shut it during the afternoon matinee show.’
