Kota’s Chambal River Front is all set to be made a perfect example of Sanatana culture, Indian tradition and lifestyle, and our ideology of the world being one single family. Ghats, which would showcase the glories of Sanatana culture are being developed on the river front. A huge marble statue, which will most probably be the largest in the world, of Goddess Chambal is also being created because we consider rivers to be mothers and goddesses.

One would also be able to see nine grand 35-ton marble statues of lions and statues of the ten avatars of Lord Vishnu on the Chambal River Front. These lion statues are made out of three blocks of Banswara marble each.

The Geeta Ghat will be home to the first of its kind experiment with sculptures designed to explain the meaning of the most prominent shlokas of the 18 chapters of the Geeta. The Spiritual Ghat is being constructed, keeping in mind, the importance of yoga, meditation, and spirituality, and to explain the ways they are done. The Vedic Ghat will have the first temples dedicated to the 5 elements of fire, water, air, earth, and sky. This will also be the place for water-worship and aarti.

The Nandi Ghat, which highlights the glory of Lord Shiva and Nandi, the supreme bull, has the world’s largest stone statue of Nandi and Nataraja in a dancing posture. On the Ghanti Ghat, will be placed the world’s largest bell.

In the first phase, 26 ghats measuring 2.75 KM each are being constructed on both sides of the river. The Chambal River Front will be 19 KM long, which will be equal to Gujarat’s Sabarmati River Front. The project is worth Rs 2000 crores, and the first phase will be completed by the month of December, after which phase-2 will begin.
