PFI members to be presented in court

Jabalpur: The Popular Front of India activists placed under arrest in Madhya Pradesh on Thursday – during a joint operation by the NIA and the ATS – are to be presented in court on Friday, state Home Minister and government spokesman Narottam Mishra confirmed.

“Abdul Karim, Abdul Sajid and Mohammad Javed were apprehended in (the state’s commercial capital) Indore and Mohammad Jameel in (the ancient temple town) Ujjain. They have been charged under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. Preliminary investigation revealed that the foursome were involved in anti-national activities such as imparting training and brainwashing people,” Dr Mishra told media representatives here.
